October 6, '05 - 50 % preview of the Summit Panorama, sols 583-85(-86) without rover self-portrait included.

October 12, '05 - sol 583-85; second preview to improved 100%

October 13, '05 - second version of the Summit Panorama, sols 583-85

A possible third version will show the rim of Gusev on the horizon and a larger, synthetic sky. Once calibrated data
is available for these recent images I'd like to include the rover (center part of 4th row missing in preview below).

October 23, '05 - sol 620-622 - Spirit on the true summit - preview
November 10, '05 - A first version @ 100% - uncorrected 'raw' panorama
I'm slowly making progress to render this one an approximation as if a human would perceive it on the spot.
Balancing the R,G,B levels to get a uniform scene, especially using the raw stretched images takes time. At first I had a quick & dirty version of this panorama in mind but since the release of calibrated imagery for these sols will not be online any time soon I decided to go ahead with it and try to enhance the rim of Gusev too. The rim can be traced in this pan over almost the entire horizon.

November 14, '05 - sol 620-622 - partially corrected raw 'Everest' panorama.
No, not a definitive version (though I might wait for the calibrated data) but another view from this wonderful location: the true summit of Husband Hill.
I spend a few days trying to make this a uniform scene but I give up for now. I might go for it again but there's some other things I'd like to finish first which
are more straightforward to work on.

November 26, '05 - A ‘corrected' version of Spirit's sol 318-325 panorama.
I have been comparing it to the Opportunity sol 117-123 panorama I'm working on and this is it, for now. I'm already further improving it for printing so if anyone's interested in a poster let me know, you only pay postage. So far I had some 'test-pans' printed on high-quality photographic paper at 36” by ~7”(0.9 m wide) and it looks very nice. Other possible sizes; 48” by 10”(1.2 m), 96” by 20”(2.4 m), 144” by 30” (3.6 m). Drop me a mail for details or requests. nix@awalkonmars.com

December 2, '05 - Opportunity sol 162-169 - a 360° panorama from within Endurance.. ~25% version until I get the 100% stitched.
